Meet our Nurse Practitioner
Veletta Beatty is a board certified and Kentucky licensed Nurse Practitioner committed to providing the highest quality clinical and diagnostic cardiovascular care to patients in Owensboro and surrounding counties in Kentucky. Her goal as a provider is empowering the patient with knowledge to become their own best advocate for their healthcare needs.
Veletta is a Kentucky native and military veteran. She began her career caring for others in the U. S. Army serving as a combat medic and then as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She then furthered her education and graduated from University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX with a Bachelor in Science in Nursing in 1999 and then a Master of Science in Nursing degree from California State University, Fullerton with Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from University of California, Irvine in 2007. Knowing medicine is ever evolving with new treatment options coming available every day, Veletta feels it is important to stay current on the latest research. Therefore, she completed a Ph.D. in Nursing Research from Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, CA in 2017.
When Veletta is not caring for the cardiovascular needs of patients, she also is an educator at heart and she teaches at Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green in their graduate program for the Doctorate of Nursing Practice program, bringing up our next generation of healthcare providers.
Veletta is a member of the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.
